Parrot Head Event—stop by Ailor Avenue donor center for your cheeseburger in Paradise and limited edition Parrot Head t-shirt.  Other goodies and freebies will be given away—TBA! 

Mother’s Day—Donate blood in honor of your mother!  Give blood and give mom your MEDIC membership credit.  Making mom a member of MEDIC ensures for one year that she will not have to pay for blood or blood products, if a transfusion is needed.  Please note, this does not include pre-existing conditions. 

Smokies Baseball Event—Give blood and you have a chance to win a pair of Smokies home game tickets.  Plus, you’ll receive a Tennessee Smokies t-shirt! 

June
Father’s Day—Donate blood in honor of your father!  Give blood and give dad your MEDIC membership credit.  Making dad a member of MEDIC ensures for one year that she will not have to pay for blood or blood products, if a transfusion is needed.  Please note, this does not include pre-existing conditions.   

July
Downtown Donor Days—A weeklong blood drive event that makes blood donation quick, convenient and easy for people who work, live and play in the downtown area.  A special Knoxville t-shirt will be offered. .

Independence Day—Donate blood because it is the American thing to do! 

August
It’s Football Time in Tennessee!  Join us at the MEDIC donor center, 1601 Ailor Avenue on August 28^th for a tailgate party.  Donate blood and get a Volunteer Spirit t-shirt and enjoy lunch on us!

September
Gator Hater Event—Give blood during the U.T. vs. U.F. blood drive competition!  Help us beat the Florida Gators both on and off the field.  Schedule—TBA. And, don’t worry you will be eligible to give blood again in November when we take on Kentucky Wildcats! 

October
Children’s Health Month—Give blood and we’ll screen you to see if you are a good candidate for donating blood for children.  The wee little ones need a special type of blood.  You could be a match! 

November
21^st Annual Orange and Blue Blood Drive Competition—Give blood and help us beat Kentucky!  This blood drives helps both blood centers get through the holiday season when blood donations are at their lowest level of the year.  So…Go Vols ~ Beat the Cats! 

December
Season of Giving—Give blood and help save a life.  What better gift can be given than that of life!  Play a part in saving lives in the greater East Tennessee area.
